Has anyone used ATI to study?

Published

I was just wondering if anyone has used ATI to study for the NCLEX, and if so did it help you at all or was it a waste of time.

Thanks for you input!

I as well went to the school in N. KY near the race track, and fifi is correct...it is a bogus test...to use a test that 20% cna't be answered correctly in the first place and use that against a person as to whether they graduate or not is a hoax.

I took boards in May 08 and got all 265 questions. ATI didn't help me a bit, because ATI doesn't adapt to the test taker like NCLEX does. ATI made me so stressed out and made me doubt myself. In fact i was told I wouldn't pass the boards on the first try, because of the ATI...boy did i show them :chuckle

I think that the ATI should just be a tool to see where you are weak, and that is ALL!!!! it should not be used to hold anyone back!!!!!

They say that if you get a certain percentile on the final predictor that you will pass boards on the first try, well by golly it took me 3 tries just to pass that d%mn test just to get to that percentile in which i would "pass boards", but it only took me once to pass boards, and i DO NOT give credit to ATI for my success, it was me all along!!!!! :yeah:

After taking the NCLEX today...using ATI & Saunders.......ATI questions are more like NCLEX but Saunders gives a better explanation as to why you got the question right/wrong. I used both. I can tell you more on Thursday!!

As a new male grad, I disagree with New Male Grad. Sorry, but ATI is a great tool to have. It may not be the end all, but it adds another dimension to preparing for the NCLEX. I wished I had used it more in school. I thought it trained me well to think through NCLEX like questions. I also used Saunders and Mosby's. I liked them all. I thought ATI best prepared me for test stamina. To each his/her own...
