Has anyone heard back from any nursing schools Long Island/NYC area?

Published

Hey guys! I applied to about seven schools for BS in Nursing for the Fall 2017 semester and am anxiously awaiting to hear back! Has anyone heard back from any schools yet? If so, which ones (if you don't mind me asking)

Thanks!!

Hey, I am from NYC and will be applying to a few schools here. If you don't mind me asking, which schools did you apply to?

Hi,

I applied to Molloy, Adelphi, Hunter, Touro, LIU, St. Joseph's, and NYIT. Where did you apply?

Wow, that is a long list. I did not apply...yet. I still have a few more pre-reqs to complete. I originally considered Hunter (I am at Hunter right now taking the pre-reqs), but I hate that it requires stupid genetics course as a requirement. I originally was taking it this fall semester but three weeks into the course I had to drop it due to the atrocious teaching. Therefore, Hunter is out of the running. I have some other schools in view. I am thinking of private schools but OMG the tuition rates are sky-high. Can I ask you something else? How do you hope to pay for your tuition?

Most of the schools I applied to didn't require too many pre-reqs, some even required none. Yes the tuition rates are insane! I was planning on financial aid/taking out loans.

So, do you recall taking genome biology (a pre-req for Hunter)? How was your experience? I just hate the fact that I will not be able to apply to Hunter due to this course.

No, I never took that course. Exactly which program at Hunter are you referring to? I already have a BS from another undergraduate school so I applied to Hunter's BS in Nursing and Advanced Second Degree Nursing program

Yes, I will be applying to Hunter's accelerated BSN. It does require a genetics course.

You should check out the BS program
