I really goofed in school when I first started out and the community college here wont let students retake classes. So I have a couple of c's in my prereq's for nursing school. I was just wondering if somone knew of anyone that got in a nursing program at a community college with a gpa of 3.0 or below. Right now I have a 3.0 just in case you wanted to know. Thanks
^ My university is accepting applicants with a minimum GPA of a 3.0
Its Rutgers University-Camden. Camden, the city that the university is located in is DANGEROUS but the campus is well-protected by a staff of 42 guards that patrol the whole square acre of the campus and 19 police men.
You need to have completed all of your prerequisites at Rutgers University-Camden though.
I say it is relatively easy to get into the program. I got accepted into the program straight from high school and my GPA was only about 3.31

I am in school at east Tennessee state university , I messed up my first semester and got a C in A&P 1 . I also took some college courses while in high-school and got a couple of C's I have now retaken those classes and have a B in one and am working towards an A in the other. My advisory told me even if I make all A's this semester ( I am taking A&P 2, history 2, remidal math where I did not do average on my act for math, and art history 2, and psychology. I have an A in all of those classes except A&P 2 will most likely be a B. My advisor said even if I made all A's this semester the best I could do would be a 3.2. Well as far as I know technically you only have to have a 3.0 GPA, but the nursing school at ETSU the lowest they are going to take Spring of 2012 will be 3.6 GPA. I will apply for nursing school Fall of 2011 and if accepted I will begin nursing school in Spring of 2012 as I will have my microbiology and prob and stats math out of the way in Fall of 2011. I plan on taking A&P 1 over this summer and getting an A or a B.
Still though my adviser says I will only have a 3.2. What am I suppose to do with a 3.2 ? I want to go into the nursing field. I hear you can be a LPN for 1 year and get straight into RN school.
Does anyone know of any nursing programs on the east coast that accept lower GPA's like mine? I live in Tennessee so I would like to stay close to home, but this really has me worried as I have wedding plans as soon as I graduate.
Help please? I am in a 4 year program but an willing to do a 2 year.
