For the fall semester of 2018 I was planning on taking A&P 2 and Microbiology (these will be the only 2 classes I will take during that semester. Has anyone taken these two classes at once? if so is it do-able?
I took A&P 2, Micro, Statistics, and Nutrition while working part-time and I got a 4.0 last semester. One of my lab partners in Microbio previously dropped Microbio because she had a hard time taking it with A&P at the same time. She also worked part-time. She ended up getting a B in Microbio this past semester. It depends on what type of student you are and what is difficult/easier for you or what you enjoy. If you are motivated, you will be able to pass both. Whether you get A's or not depends on other individual factors. Best of luck!
I am currently in Physiology (at my school A&P are split) and Microbiology. I also have 2 kids, ages 5 and 2, so they're home all day with me and I work part time in the evenings. Study time is precious and fleeting. Managed a high A in Anatomy though, so I'm hoping it's doable! Good luck to you all!
I took micro and A&P II at the same time while working a full-time job. It almost killed me, but I got A's in both of the courses. I would only recommend taking both of these courses at the same time if you know for sure you can get an A in both of them because it will largely determine your admission to a program. You really need A's in all of your sciences to get in anymore.... best of luck to you, friend!
I attend a smaller community college and I think about 70% of my cohort took either A&P 1 or A&P 2 along with Micro. It's certainly doable! Like others here have mentioned, identify your strengths and weaknesses, develop good study habits, and manage your time well. As long as you don't allow yourself to get bogged down and you stay on top of things, you should be just fine...I look at it like this: if you can manage courses like these along side one another, it just better prepares you for the rigors of NS.
Good luck!

I took ap1, microbiology, and nutrition together and recieved A's in all classes. Its was tough, but doable. Create a good study system from the jump, you can not slack at all!
