Has anyone ever failed the nclex using exam cram? Curious.

Published

I searched through postings and I see some people who have failed using kaplan, saunders, hurst.. and others. I also see some who have passed using them. But, what I haven't really came across to anyone who has failed using exam cram. So just was curious if anyone has.

I am currently using the Exam Cram and I am also doing a review course next week by HESI. I used Exam Cram two years ago for NCLEX-PN and found it very useful and that was the only preparation I used. this time around I feel I need more preparation as there is alot more content to be tested on especially managing. Best of luck to you. I am scheduled to take the NCLEX-RN in less than 2 weeks.

Hello. I agree, I found that Exam Cram was very useful, however I needed another source... So this time around I am answering questions on a website and hopefully will finish nclex3500.

Best of luck to you too!

I guess my question would be -- Do people feel prepared answering questions during the NCLEX with the information they've gained from Exam Cram specifically?

I totally agree with you on that 2126, I DID NOT feel prepared answering the questions using exam cram for the nclex. NCLEX 3500 was what helped me the most along with LaCharity Book and Saunders 4th edition.

That is goooood to know, because I'm using nclex 3500 now. Thank you for your input.

No problem, exam cram seemed ok for the content book not the questions book. But the test seems like I wasn't learning anything.

NCLEX 3500 gives you the choices to choose where you can study. So for 4 months after I failed the nclex the first time. Each week I would do questions in one topic area like cardio. Then I moved on to the next section once i'm through with it. I would usually make my goal to finish at least 100 questions each day.

Then when I get bored with NCLEX 3500. I use the Kaplan Q Test Trainers.

Make sure you read ALL the rationales. That is what helped me passed the second time around with 70-80 questions. Took me 3.5 hours. Do not rush while taking the NCLEX, but do not dwell on the questions either. Only question I dwell on the most was the one math question which was 20 minutes.

I passed with 75q and I didn't do NCLEX 3500 at all. I did Exam Cram and All the Free Kaplan tests online, oh and LaCharity of course. Good luck!
