The Reason Why I Ask Is, Nothing In This World Man-made Is 100%. Everything Has A Flaw. You Always Hear About How Precise The Scoring Of The Nclex Exam Is And How It Determines Your Pass/fail Result With 95% Certainty. Are There People Who Really Felt As If They Passed And Wanted To Review Or Have Someone Review Their Results? If Reviewed, Was It Discovered That Indeed They Should Have Passed? Why Is It That The Diagnostic Profile Is So Vague? It Only Tells You The Area Of Deficiency. What Bothers Me About That Is Given What The Question May Be, You Get It Wrong, But If You Answered Another Question Or Have Taken Practice Questions That Relate To That Same Category Of Questions And You Have Been Successful In That Area, Does That Mean You Are Really Deficient. The Dagnostic Profile Should Be More Specific Of What Your Weakness Really Is On The Exam. It's Not As If They Are Giving You The Question You In Which It Pertains To. Anyway, That's Something I Have Always Wondered. I'm Also Bored At Work. I Work Nightshift And It's Kind Of Slow.
I failed my exam on the first attempt. I had 75 questions. I felt the exam was challenging but laft feeling confident. I took Kaplan and prepared and prepared and prepared. I was not even worried about the results. I was on my way out the door to play golf when I checked the computer. To my amazement, I failed.
I believe in my heart that I passed the NClex on my first attempt. I thought about challenging the BON but decided that ******* them off would not help my cause. The testing process really is pitiful. The administration, the results and the feedback really do need revamping. It is a shame that the State felt that I would not practice "safe and effective nursing care." Well, my patients, colleagues and directors will attest that they are wrong. I am a wonderful young "baby nurse" and I enjoy learning and processing all the different scenarios that are thrown my way.
To be blunt, they can kiss my booty. I passed on my second attempt and put the whole awful process behind me.
i was also wondering if you could challenge NCLEX items because I want to know exactly where I started to fail on my exam I should have passed the third time, The questions kept getting harder and harder, and Kaplan said if you feel like they are getting really hard than you are passing, well I guess they lied .... In the pamphlet that is given after you complete the test there is a section that is titled challege and it gives info on how to actually do that. Every state is different on the challenge laws, Maryland does not allow it, I asked... I hate this test when I do pass I'm writing them a strong opinion letter letting them know how I feel about this awful test.....
