Has anyone applied for January Residency programs at Baylor Health Care System??

Published

I kind of got a late start, but applied to several of the internship/residency programs at Baylor for January. I am just wondering if anyone has applied and gotten a response or an interview? I received the standard email stating that they have received my application, but nothing else. If you know anything about the program.... what they look for, how competitive it is..... if you have heard anything....how many positions available, etc.... Please post!!!!!

Congratulations, and good luck!!! Let us know if you land the position!!! What area was it for?

Congratulations on the interview! Please let us know if you hear anything back.

I actually forgot all about this thread..I went in last week for an interview and was offered a position, which I accepted! It seems like a really awesome place to work, and all of the nurses I met were just amazing. I am really looking forward to January. Now I just need to graduate, pass the NCLEX, and find a place to live.

Thanks! They called me about 2 1/2 hours after I left the hospital and offered me the position. I hadn't even made it back home yet!

A good friend of mine works in the bone marrow transplant unit at Baylor and really enjoys it there! No worries, they called her about 2 days after her interview!

Congratulations!!! :yeah:

Isn't it such a great feeling to not have to worry about "the job hunt" anymore? And I agree with you, everyone I came in contact with was so, so nice. I think we are both going to be really happy there!

Wow I haven't been here in a while. Congratulations y'all!!!:yeah:

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE! I recently applied for critical care and med surg, I'm gonna call the recruiters tomorrow to check my status. Any May 09 grads that applied also?

Congratulations to everyone who got into the GN program!

I've recently applied and had a phone interview (I think I bombed the interview - pretty sure I stuttered, too). Well, anyways, is anyone relocating for the internship? I graduated in May and there are no new grad openings in my area (New England). I really want to get into this program, but I've been told that they prefer candidates from the area because of relocation expenses/inability to interview in person.

I was looking to relocate and willing to move without assistance and I am willing to travel to interview.

Hollyj716, did u contact them for an interview or did they call u? And I definitely feel your pain! Im a may grad also!

I am relocating.... but only from another part of Texas. That didn't seem to matter to them... but I don't know about out of state. You probably did better than you think hollyj!! Keep the faith.
