Has anybody done well on the ATI predicter test but then failed NCLEX?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I recently took the ATI predicter test and passes with a 96% chance of passing NCLEX. I got a 76% on the overall test with 170 questions (something like that). I'm just wondereing if that prediction for me is acurate. I plan on studying just as hard as if it said I had a 70% chance, but was wondering what all your experiances have been. Thanks!

I took the ATI predictor and was reported to have a 92% chance of passing. Friday I took the NCLEX, 75 questions later...48 hours later...I found out I PASSED!!

Congratulations!!!! Good News!!!

My understanding is the ATI predictor test is easier and just a rough predictor of your potential to pass NCLEX--so don't get lulled into thinking that 96% will mean you are good to go and make sure to study some NCLEX test prep books. Good Luck!

I felt like the ATI predictor was much easier than many of the other things out there like Kaplan. I take NCLEX in a week though so we will see. I got a 99% prediction pass rate.

I did well on the ATI predicter-99%. I haven't recieved my results yet from NCLEX but I hope I passed! I get the good pop up from pearson vue. I took the test on Jan 8th and my nursing school has not sent our transcripts to the board of nursing, and the BRN will not tell us pass or fail until they do! ( Ca doesn't participate in quick results either) I will tell you that the NCLEX was much harder than the ATI. On the ATI I could usually narrow things down to 2 answers but the NCLEX was very tricky. I had a lot of SATA and priority questions. I hate them because there is no "right" answer...if you asked 30 good RNs, you would get a ton of different answers. Good luck.

Don't get too caught up with predictor scores. Better to trust your own judgement about how well prepared you feel. Predictor scores are not infallible, either way.
