Hand Lotion

I wanted to get some suggestions on hand lotion. I get horrible dry sky from gloves, hand sanitizer, and soaps at work and I can't seem to find a lotion that works that isn't girly smelling. Any of you guys have any suggestions?

I have the same problem. Over 15 years working as a cook and kitchen manager, constant hand washing and gloves! Now I'm a LNA and have the same issue, as well as our facility having a "no scent" contract. I love the gold bond original lotion. Thick, but absorbs fast and isn't really greasy feeling. Eucarin has one that absorbs even faster, so you could rub it in and glove up immediately if you had to.

Oh, forgot to mention... My hubby is a mechanic and will use the gold bond lotion despite hating the idea of "using lotions because he's a man!"

Hemp hand lotion by the Body Shop, or the hemp oil... maybe hempseed oil straight. Does wonders for my hands in winter... and especially after using so much hand sanitizer. It is earthy smelling.

Jergens original scent ultra healing lotion. My hands get so dry they bleed sometimes. This lotion is awesome and doesn't smell girly. Just smells like lotion.

Gold bond for severe dry skin or rashes. In general, I just use Lubriderm. I'm not gonna say it's gonna last the whole night, but it's great for dry/itchy skin and it smells quite good imo.

I personally don't like dry skin so I never mind putting lotion on and as mentioned earlier, the Lubriderm has a decent smell to it. Other doods should use it.

Lubriderm is great! You can also go a little further and put lubriderm or vasoline on your hands at night and wear gloves to let the moisture soak in. when you awake in the morning you will have baby soft hands. Another thing you can do is apply lotion immediately after you wash your hands while their still wet and then dry. This has helped me with cracked skin as well.

I usually use the stuff in the container at work - which your workplace should provide, as they're wanting you to use alcohol rubs/soap multiple times a night.

At home, I prefer udder cream - you can buy it at the drug store, and it does what it needs to with no frills or added scents.

I've gotten some teasing about how soft and supple my hands are, but I just shrug it off as taking care of the tools i use for work: my hands.

The two things I found that work the best are hemp based lotions and cocobutter based lotions. Cococbutter is the cheaper of the two but will make you smell like chocolate. It's best to apply after a warm shower.

Athos Miracle Cream (Home Page - Athos Miracle Cream | Hydrate, heal and protect with nature's smartest skin solution. Winter's essential!) works best for me, and I've tried all sorts of products. It's a natural healing cream with olive oil, honey, seaweed and some other mediterranean ingredients. I've tested it in chapped, cracked hands and feet and it really works. It has a soft meadow herbs scent, not girly smelling at all, my husband uses it as well.
