New to allnurses.com but, I just applied for Nursing School at GTCC and I am so anxious to find out what points are getting accepted! Just wondering how many have applied and what their point range was? That Tea's V was a butt Kicker for me! So anxious to get a letter!

Hahahahahaha! Now we are counting mail lady hours! I have 16-18 hours...she isn't very consistent...

I probably sat in front of my window for over a couple hours today waiting for the mail lady to come.

Still nothing!!

I know this might not help ease your minds, but I live in Burlington and my mail comes between 11:30-2:00 on Saturdays and that's when my letter came in.

:banghead:I literally just yelled , "In Burlington, IN BURLINGTON????" lol how did you all ready get your letter in Burlington hahaha! I am about 35 mintutes from you but closer to the school here in North East Greensboro. Let me see how my OBBSESSED ways can compete.... I called everyone on the street Saturday and blew their phones up to go check my mailbox when amgladwell called and told me she got her letter lol .....so yesterday and today my neighbors who saw me outside yell, " you got your letter yet." and I really just wanna scream back and say, "NOOOOO:banghead: then today I had Linda stalk her mail lady for me :( and had my neighbor check my mail because I had school all day. I have approximatley 15 hrs and 45 minutes till I see my mail lady and or man... and I DONT have school tomorrow so I will be sure to greet him or her with a :bowingpur

I have this strange feeling that alternate letters got sent out first??? I haven't heard of one person getting an acceptance letter but have heard of several getting alternate letters. I don't know, it's totally an assumption. I hope you all get your letters soon. Being an alternate is making me :banghead: even more haha because it's just not a definite answer!!! Ugh!

I have been analyzing this (and yes, over-analyzing this) and also have come to the conclusion that alternate letters have been sent out first. Still this leaves me with the possibility of being accepted or starting the whole process all over again for the Spring 2013. SPRING 2013!!!! :nono: I am sure you all feel my agony when I think of how long that wait will be!! :madface: Either way, I believe I will cry a river when the letter comes. :bluecry1: Either out of relief and joy, or because my cowardice in not being able to shoot myself on the spot. (Just so you know...I would NEVER do that). In the mean time, I am going to continue to try not to :barf01:!!! If my letter comes tomorrow, I may just :kiss my mail lady! As for those of you who have already received your alternate letters - I realize you still have to wait and you have nervous hope. I recommend finding a special spot to pad the walls for your :banghead:. My nerves are shot, and my head is, well.... I don't :smokin:, but this just might make me start! I JUST WANT TO BE A :nurse:, is that too much to ask?? (**sigh**) Now, back to what I was doing ... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Don't stress amgladwell12, you got a really high alternate number! I'm sure you'll be safe. With 80 people in the class, i'm sure that not every single person is set on GTCC. Does anybody know how long it takes for them to let the alternates know whether they got a spot or not? I think this forum is the only thing that's keeping me sane for right now... :yawn:

Ok so after a Horrible day..Linda that could have been the funniest post by FAR bahahahahhahahaha! From casual conversation I am under the impression that alternates find out after the deadline for the ones who were accepted to turn in all their paper work and medical forms etc....I think Annalise said, " her letter stated, 'June 2' was the deadline for seat acceptance." but dont quote me on that but I know it was in June. Why would they send out alternates first? espically Linda if they told you today they had all been sent out?:confused: Well I am going to assume that sense I didnt get my alternate letter I am getting a denial letter....:bluecry1: getting into nursing school just seems like it is to much of a dream to ever come true so..........:banghead: X 1,000

My son would say to be pessimistic so you are extremely happy when you are accepted, but I choose not to punish myself any more than is necessary or out of my control...so, I am going to assume we are IN! Glad I gave you a giggle...I am kinda known for being corny, just ask Heather. Just because they told me all the letters were mailed doesn't mean the last batch didn't go out today, right? Or, that the person I was talking to was told to say that to callers....not that they would be dishonest or anything. We need to make a t-shirt with :banghead: on it...I am starting to feel a kinship with the little creature.
