Well this is my first post, I have read and reply but never made my own thread. I graduated on Friday and I feel so relieve to get "some" of my life back (still have to study for NCLEX). 18 months ago, I started nursing school and it was hectic; especially being a mother of two young children. But with the help of my family and your posts, I made it!!! I just want to say thank you to you all! Your posts and replies gave me life.lol There were those days when I needed a break, I will get on here and read your posts and I always learn one or two things. Please if you have any advice for NCLEX, don't hesitate to post it here. It will be greatly appreciated!
Jobe1215, honestly, my last semester was the hardest. There are so many exams as always, projects, research and so forth. Plus ATI comprehensive exam!!! Tips? Starts projects/research/papers before time. If an instructor gives you a grade in any of your assignments that you feel you don't deserve, make an appointment to speak with him/her never just let it go. Work in groups of two or three with serious people (off course you knew that already). Ask your classmates questions when you do not understand something. Your last semester, nearly everyone is willing to work together because everyone wants to graduate! Time management, prioritize, ask questions etc
Congratulations! I graduated Dec 12th and will take NCLEX the first week in January. I'm not studying for NCLEX other than trying to do 100-150 questions a day from various sources (ATI, Lippincott, NCSBN, Saunders, LaCharity) between now and then. I honestly feel prepared for it now so I'm not stressed about it.
Good luck to all the NCLEX takers!
