GTCC Spring 2016

Hello All,

Just thought I would start this thread because applications are due in a little over a month. Just wanted to know who was applying to the program in the spring. I did a preliminary MAR review, and I think I have around 55 points. I haven't taken the TEAS test yet, which I am dreading because I have barely studied for it. I'm going to try to take it in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully a solid two weeks of studying will be enough. With the points that I have, all I have to do is pass the test. Look forward to hearing from more people.

No im alternate #13 and still waiting. I think we will find out at orientation. What number are you?

Hello is archer I took 166 at gtcc Greensboro with Alex Jordan and did good. I don't know who is ur teacher but hard to learn from someone with a different teacher. They have different styles of exams.

Since you are alternate #4 I wondered if you got a call for acceptance yet?

If your talking to me I got accepted at gtcc, Imy alternate at forsyth #11.

I'm alternate #4 and so far no I haven't heard anything. I wondered if we wouldn't receive phone calls or anything until after the health forms were due. I know my friend was an alternate a few years ago and she didn't receive her phone call until sometime in November.

Dani2389 I would say you are probably right. Alternates will probably not hear anything until November sometime or at least not until after the meeting in October. jjjohnson if you clear the waiting list for Forsyth is that your 1st choice?

Yes ma'am forsyth is my first choice but I accepted gtcc since I don't know if I ever get a seat from forsyth.

Hey guys...do you all know if they want alternates to attend the orientation session. The letter said yes but I recently received an email that said no. I surely don't want to go if they don't want us there!???

I'm an alternate and are u referring to the email about the background check? I know we're supposed to attend orientation, but the email I received was saying we don't have to pay for the background check yet. But the admitted students do at orientation.

Oh ok so we are supposed to be there? If you dont mind me asking...what number alternate are you? Im #13, I'm already dissappointed I didnt get a seat so I really don't want to b there unless their are possible seats available. Otherwise I don't want to waste my time. I have been calling but neither coordinator ever answers the phone.

Yes we are supposed to be there if we still want to be considered for a seat and I'm alternate #4
