GTCC ADN Spring 2015

U.S.A. North Carolina

I know it's early but I just couldn't wait any longer for a thread to be started. I took my TEAS test today and passed!!! I've met with the advisor to do my ranking...so I guess it's 3 months of anticipation and hoping I get it. With the new changes in the criteria for the program I can only imagine more people will apply making it more competitive for a seat in the program. Anybody else planning to apply for Spring?

I don't think we did decide. I'm okay with meeting before. I'm gonna be there early anyway cause I took a half day at work and I work and live minutes away from campus.

I have a half of a day at work too. I will be at the campus around 1:30.

I am going early and find the office where I need to leave my forms, I have a half day at work as well. They are in the same building right? I'm nervous but excited.

Yes, from what I gathered their offices are in the same building. I wonder if we will be able to pick up our nursing packages with all our books? I would love to get a jump start on things. What are you guys doing to prepare for classes in Jan?

Future RN

I am going to try to find the office early too. It should be in the same building. Luckily I work in direct contact with RNs on a daily basis and I work in the medical field so I hear a lot of the terminology and I learn a lot of things that I didn't know. I am definitely using that to my advantage. I hope to get books early on so I can skim them and take some notes over Christmas break!

Their offices and the room we're meeting in are on the same floor, almost right across from each other. But I'm pretty sure you can just bring your forms with you to orientation because the ladies should be there as well!

Has anyone been able to register for Nur 111? I can search for the classes but can't register.

I tried to register but couldn't as well. I called and was told since I was considered a new student I had to wait until the end of November. But current students could register on November 14. I hope I was the right thing. I'm in section 4

Yeah, my online time to register said Nov 14th. I remember hearing her though say we should be able to register right away. I emailed her to clarify...I hope she responds Monday.

Yeah I told the guy on the phone they told us to register ASAP but he said we had to wait. Let us know if she emails back!

Ok, will do.

I'm currently enrolled in classes and I got an email saying that the earliest anyone can register is November 17th at 7:00 pm, and thats what it says for my specific registration time as well! Also I'm not sure if it applies for us since we are in the program, but they just started a thing where you have to meet with an advisor before you can register, but hopefully we won't have to do that!
