I'm currently enrolled in classes and I got an email saying that the earliest anyone can register is November 17th at 7:00 pm, and thats what it says for my specific registration time as well! Also I'm not sure if it applies for us since we are in the program, but they just started a thing where you have to meet with an advisor before you can register, but hopefully we won't have to do that!

Their offices and the room we're meeting in are on the same floor, almost right across from each other. But I'm pretty sure you can just bring your forms with you to orientation because the ladies should be there as well!

My boyfriend and his brother both started in the Nursing program this semester and they said that uniforms for them were about $200 and with the extras (stethoscope, pen light, tape scissors, BP cuff) it was about $250-$300. They were the ones that recommended buying JUST your scrubs at orientation and finding all your other supplies at a scrub store or somewhere else, because they (and other classmates) weren't happy with the quality of things for the amount of money they paid. If I'm remembering correctly they bought their text book bundle (about $2000) at another time, but they had the whole summer between orientation and classes starting so things might be different for us since we don't have as much time. The good thing about the books is that you only have to buy them this semester and then like 2 extra your last semester so you won't be spending $2000 each semester. I know things change with each semester, but this is just an idea of how things were last semester! Best of luck to everyone this upcoming year!!!

I got my letter today and got in as well!! Congratulations to everyone else and hopefully the rest of you will hear back today! I'm waiting on WSSU as well, but I don't think we'll hear back by October 15! But you can always confirm and then back out later if you hear something before the orientation! I also got accepted to GTCC's spring program so now its decision time!

Congratulations on getting in! I have a BA too and that helped give me an extra 5 points so maybe thats what happened with you too. Either way congratulations!! I'll be at orientation too, maybe a little late cause I have classes that day, but I'll be there!

This semester they found out their class schedule on Sunday and started classes on Monday because they won't know which hospitals have openings for clinical until the last minute so that is why we find out so late. Also I know that sometimes for clinical you have to be there about 30 minutes early and get out 30 minutes after you're supposed to so that adds another hour onto the 6 hour clinical! And they recommend going to open lab too so both of those things are adding more time that you have to be there so I think thats why they ask you to be flexible because classes themselves actually require more time than what is actually on the schedule!

Even though this is like a week late I got in too!! I'm so excited to meet everyone and Congratulations to everyone else!! I'm doing my CPR through CPR Central in Winston Salem. I couldn't find anywhere in Greensboro that was American Heart Association certified, but I should have checked here first cause it looks like there are lots of places! Oh and just an FYI, I was talking to some friends that are currently in the nursing program at GTCC and they said when we go to orientation the uniform people will try to sell us pen lights, stethoscopes, and BP cuffs and all of the other things we need, but they said don't buy anything from them except our uniforms. Several of my friends bought the pen lights and they broke after only two times using them and the company won't replace them, and they said other people were having trouble with some of the other items they purchased through the company. They said the company sells things for "cheaper" but its the same prices other places the quality is just what is cheap. Just wanted let you know so you won't be wasting money!!

When I was there doing my MAR they said Tiffany would send out letters two weeks after the due date, but it could be before then or a little after just depending on numbers. So unfortunately it'll probably be sometime next week before we hear anything!

Does anyone know if they consider anything else besides the course grade points and TEAS adjusted score when they are adding up your points? Like at GTCC they add points for having a previous degree, other certifications and certain courses get extra points. I'm going to do my MAR review this week so I know I'll find out then, but I just wanted to go ahead and try estimate my points!

I had 47 points, which I heard was pretty good, but you never can tell and it just depends on the semester! But I have heard that everyone that gets on the alternate list usually end up getting into at least one of the schools they applied to, so that gives me a little extra hope!

I heard you get a very large envelope in the mail if you get in! Even though the deadline was today I have be obsessively checking the mailbox! I am so anxious to find out!!
