GTC 2011?

Is anyone applying for Gwinnett Tech's Fall 2011 RN program? I submitted my application back in October (I really wanted to have enough time in case anything happened). I'm still waiting on the initial letter about the meeting for the entrance exam. Does anyone know when we're supposed to get that letter? I know the application due date wasn't too long ago (Jan. 15th) and with the snow, things are probably backed up a bit, but for some reason I thought we should already have word by now.

Mommybear, thanks for all the helpful information. I am wondering about vaccines that are needed. MMR? Chickenpox? One forum on here mentioned titer tests for old vaccines/immunity. Which of these are needed for the program.

If its anything like other nursing programs I am assuming you need MMR, chickenpox,( or titers) hep b. tb skin test, and tetorifice.

Probably a stupid question, but do we have to get them updated or just have proof of what we've had in the past? I thought chicken pox/MMR was a once in a lifetime vaccine.

You do not need to get vaccines redone. While immunity wears out after time, as long as you are up to date with the recommended vaccine course ( Ie 3 doses of heb b.) you should be fine. I just had a titer done for all three and my immunity is very strong against all of them.
