Is anyone applying for Gwinnett Tech's Fall 2011 RN program? I submitted my application back in October (I really wanted to have enough time in case anything happened). I'm still waiting on the initial letter about the meeting for the entrance exam. Does anyone know when we're supposed to get that letter? I know the application due date wasn't too long ago (Jan. 15th) and with the snow, things are probably backed up a bit, but for some reason I thought we should already have word by now.

Hey all and especially previous nursing students,

I am getting ready to order my uniforms and wanted to purchase a different brand for my scrub pants that I know fit me well. Do they make a big stinker about not buying the nursing student scrub pants from that website as long as you have the correct student scrub top with the badge on it? I really hate elastic waist scrub pants and opt for the tie front pant. I've ordered two pair of Koi brand white pants. What do you guys recommend?

I asked the same question about the pants. The Program Director said that we had to use the vendor provided. Of course, you could always wear whatever pants you want and hope the instructors don't notice, but the word on the street is they're pretty picky about uniforms, at least at first. :crying2: If you're looking for a drawstring pant, buy the unisex/male pant available on the website provided, that's what I did. The vendor does say that the pants may shrink up to an inch after laundering, so keep that in mind when determining what size you should buy.

Yeah, not the fashion statement I normally like to make... and they're pricey. At least it's only two days a week. I try to soothe myself with the fact that this uniform is 9.865 times better than the McDonald's uniform I used to wear as a kid (I did the calculations myself). :D

hey all . I just got a call that I was accepted today! I guess someone had to cancel last minute...

I have seven days to do what you guys had months to do.. omg! a thousand emotions at once.
