Not sure if there's one of these started already, but it's still pretty far off, so I thought I'd make one. Have any of you guys taken the TEAS yet? If not, where are you taking it? I didn't see any dates listed for GSU.

I just talked to the nursing dept and they said that they don't even begin sending letters out until the end of this week. You should see a letter in your box on Friday- I have my fingers crossed for all of us:)

I know this sounds funny, but I am trying to stay off of here as much as possible and get this whole thing off of my mind; however, it is very hard to do. I just want some closure ASAP! I wish I knew how many people applied; they did not tell me that when I called:(

Just as I suspected then...more waiting....ugh, I just want a decision so I can make the next plan, you know? This is so annoying!

I know...I can't believe I was so impatient to get my TEAS scores back; that is nothing compared to this. I just want closure! All this waiting is making me think bad thoughts no matter how positive I try to be. I am just relieved that they have not sent out letters yet:) I don't expect to be in the first round; however, I really want to know something by the end of this month because I am going crazy and driving everyone around me crazy. I hope everyone on this thread gets into the program of their choice; and I hope we all find out this Friday:) Best of luck to all of you!

kuhelski, I have a CNA degree. My high school had this dual degree program where certain students were able to take CNA classes at our school. Its an ok degree to have. The work itself is annoying. We did our clinicals at a nursing home and we had to feed the patients, wipe their faces, take their baths, make their beds, clean them after they used the bathroom, etc. Its like babysitting. But if u do it part time, making $10-$13 an hour isnt half bad. lol

GRrr I love how two girls in my chem class lied and told me they already received letters which made me feel more nervous! Did they say how many letters they are sending out?

svictor1- I can't help it, I hate having someone in charge of my life. Until I hear something my life is on hold. I'm a planner, so busy with work, kids, and hubby so not being able to plan is not something I do well. Thanks for the words though. I'll do my best not to drive my family insane with me waiting for the darn letter.

I went through this last semester and was waitlisted, so I wanted to share what I can. The status update that is online does not matter. It is important that they got all your stuff, but even after you receive your acceptance, denial, or waitlist letter it will still say "ready for review." The other thing is although the FAQ on the website says that they mail the responses out in March, April, and October. I did not receive my waitlist letter until November 25 of this past year. If you read the threads about last semester applicants waiting process many off them did not get their acceptance letters in the mail until a few days before I. Anyway I guess thats my two cents for now. Good Luck everyone and lets keep each other posted!

Thanks, Samme!! Super helpful information. I guess it's best to register for classes with the assumption that we aren't accepted, then alter classes based on what we actually discover.

I'm taking A&P with Borek right now, and I have Chapman for A&P II over the summer. I'm definitely struggling in Borek's class, but at least my Micro lab and this Bio class are super easy. I like feeling like I'm working hard for my grade - it's definitely information I'll retain simply due to needing to study so thoroughly! I would've loved to experience a class with Dr. Ross; I've heard she's fantastic. Good luck on the lab exam! It was everything my TA prepared us for, and wasn't too bad at all, so don't stress! :-)

I don't know how I missed this post (I am sorry); I guess last week was a really crazy week;) I agree in regards to this class (BIO1104)- it is definitely one of my easiest...A&P is a lot of work, but you will be so proud of your "A"! The lab exam on Thursday wasn't bad at all; you were correct. I was so happy when the day was over because it was such a long day. I guess I will see you tomorrow and formally introduce myself if I see you...because who knows- we may both be in nursing school for the fall semester (fingers crossed). Have a good night.
