GRU / Augusta University MSN CNL Fall 2017

Hey guys, anyone else applying to the CNL program at Augusta University ( previously known as GRU)? I am going to be applying and if admitted I think I would prefer to make my move a few months post acceptance. I have 2 bachelors and my passion is with Psychiatric Mental health but I really don't want another Bachelors so the CNL seems just fine to have under my belt until I maneuver into a DNP program. It all sounds so pricey but in the end I believe it will be worth the while. I know I am early but hopefully others are interested. My scores aren't great but I saw people with similar scores with acceptance so lets just pray. I have great grades it is just one school gave me F's instead of W's when I withdrew in 2008 and I have had hell getting it off my record but it has no bearing on my gpa it is still "good" just not where it could be without 4-5 F's.

I interviewed on 12/1 as well. I only applied for the Athens campus as I will be commuting from Atlanta.

Im so glad! I thought my interview went well and they were both so nice!

Augusta is my first choice! I interviewed in Athens because that was what was available at the moment. I wouldn't mind going to Athens though!

Has anyone who applied right before Thanksgiving checked their status on the Augusta University website? Mine is still showing "incomplete" and saying that my supplemental application is missing (I submitted it 11/21). Last Wednesday the CNL Program Manager told me that admissions hadn't pulled the applications from NursingCAS yet and that the supplemental application would be paired up once it was pulled from the system. Admissions told me on Friday that "the system must not have updated yet", hence the status page still saying the application is missing. I'm just making sure that someone else is in the same boat and it's not just me:)

Like timing wise did it take longer than what people who applied to the Augusta campus are saying

I don't know if this helps, but I applied on 11/10 and received an invitation to interview on 11/22.

I applied the first week of November and was sent the supplemental application right after. I'm sure the system hasn't updated. It probably takes a little longer since we apply through Nursingcas and not directly to the school.

I ended up calling admissions this afternoon and the girl had someone "fix the glitch" to update it. She DID say that my application hadn't been sent to the CNL program yet. I was definitely spoiled last year with only 3 days between the school getting it and receiving my interview invite!

I think they are having system updating problems as far as that because I contacted Admissions to make sure my application was complete and they said it was and it was still under review. So I'm not sure.

It does! You applied to the Athens campus correct? If so, was your interview in Athens or Augusta?

Athens is my first choice and Augusta my second. Interviewed in Athens. From what I understand, they interview people where they can accommodate at the time.

Can you tell me where you are seeing your status? In NursingCas or on the Augusta supplemental app website?
