Grossmont Nursing Spring 2017 Cohort

Published

Hi! Good luck to everyone who applied for Spring 2017! I just wanted to start a thread for those of us anxiously awaiting to hear back. I will be applying to Mira Costa and Palomar, as well as SDCCD and southwestern later in the year. How many points does everyone thing they had? From what I've read, it seems like most cohorts hear back in mid-late September. I wish everyone the best!

Fingers crossed we'll hear something tomorrow!

Emily the first emails went out from palomar only last wednesday.. Also the deadline to commit to the program is this coming Wednesday.. Sothursday would probably be the next batch from palomar

Just got the email from Palomar, it's a no for me. Still waiting to hear from Grossmont. Has anyone heard from grossmont since the initial email? Other than than who already got in.

Same here Emily! Just checked my email and it's a no go from Palomar. Still nothing from Grossmont.

I got a No from Miracosta! I'm so curious to see the profiles of those who did- must be those 4.0 folks hehe. Emily & SDport best of luck in sure something will come soon!

I sure hope so everyone! Sorry we've been getting bad news ...but let's hope no news will turn into good news from grossmont.

Ashlee Heath, School of Nursing Admissions

thats for the Longview campus. I'm sure it's someone else for the Tyler campus..

THANKS!!:)

I got a no from MiraCosta. When I applied to Grossmont last year, I got that email saying it would take a few weeks and then finally got another email mid-November saying The class had been filled. Yup, second year applying and still nothing. I think I'm going to take the TEAS again, maybe I'll actually study this time.

what was everyones points for palomar, i havent heard anything and I think i was at 77

I'm not totally sure. I think in the 70s that's if they gave me the points for extra criteria like proof of employment, financial aid, working during prerequisites etc. technically I'm not a CNA, I'm a patient care assistant at Scripps which is the same job duties as a CNA but without the certification. I'm enrolled in a CNA class now to get those extra 5 points and plan on taking two more semesters of Spanish. So hopefully that will help in the future.

Hey Guys,

I decided to choose MiraCosta. I have been trying to get a hold of them (to confirm and ask a few questions) before I release my seat for Palomar's program so if anyone is an alternate, the seat should be opening up.

Good Luck to everyone.

Good luck at Mira costa @jmeee
