I've been on the Grossmont waiting list for a year and a half now. Estimated start date is fall of 2007...anyone else?? I mainly see posts from people in programs or people still taking pre req's. Looking for others in limbo here in san diego like myself.
I'm sorry you didn't get a letter. If there is no night and weekend program then there will probably be 40 slots instead of 70. There will be some people who postpone/decline. It may be a couple weeks before its sorted out. I think they also send letters to people who are on standby. But I don't know when those go out.
I got on the list January 2006. I was accepted for Fall 2008, but I had to defer for a year due to not wanting to put my child in fulltime daycare and being there for my mom as she was dying from colon cancer. I really wanted to do the Evening/Weekend program, but they haven't offered it. So, really I was on the waiting list for 2 1/2 years. Yes, I am finally starting after 3 1/2 years!
Just wanted to let everyone know that I spoke with some incoming nursing students while we were getting our ID pics taken and they told me that they waited 3 years to get into City.
I took the final in the LVN-RN transition course and I'm pretty sure I passed. I studied very hard for it. I will post back when I know my score for sure because that means that I got accepted into City :)

No way. That is a total bummer. Well that means I'm not getting one. I've been on since Jan. 07. I'm so sorry cupcake619 to hear that. So they sent out all of them?
