Good Afternoon All,
I am registered to Statistics this up coming fall. I want to find out what are the best graphing calculators to use for statistics?

It doesn't matter for stats. You don't need a TI89 until you get to differential equations (3rd year of engineering school for perspective).
The more expensive ones have more memory but you won't use more than a tiny fraction of the memory anyway.
The more expensive ones have more apps - which might help some people and just unnecessarily complicates things for many people.
The more expensive ones have a few games on them - which you probably have on your phone anyway if you are into that.
The more expensive ones have a little better constrast on the screen
The 84 Silver has actual fractions with the numbers verticle to each other instead of a number, a slash, the other number.
I've bought 6 graphing calculators over the last 5 years or so... pththth.

I used a TI82 from 18 years ago. In my class we needed to be able to do all PEMDAS operations, square and square roots. We didnt need to graph anything. Check to see if you can borrow a calc from school.

I'm using a Ti-84 plus. I lent my brother my Ti-83 five years ago and he still hasn't returned it, so I figured I should count it as a loss and buy a new one. Super helpful and I probably wouldn't have passed without it. Of course I spent hours on YouTube trying to figure out how to get it to do what I needed!

I agree with the rental! Rent from your school, unless you plan on being a math major???, and save money since you are not likely to need such a fancy calculator in the future.
It also helps to get the calculator the instructor recommends because they often go through the steps with you in class and if you have a different calculator you need to figure it out yourself. No need to add stress.
Best of luck, this class was easier than college algebra IMO.
