Hi, I am from BC and was wondering if anyone has applied for the Sept 2013 intake. I am curious about the early conditional acceptance that is offered. The academic advisor mentioned that there is specific date for early acceptance, it is first come first serve. With that being said, does anyone know a tentative date in which an applicant would be considered for early acceptance?
Hi Oryx! So excited that you got in too! I registered for my classes and got into residence yesterday. So it all came through quite fast, I'd say less than 2 days.
I'm contemplating buying my books online and having them shipped to the house, but it hardly seems worth doing because I just have to pack them up and bring them back again. But then I have to battle the crowds at the bookstore....hmmm. Anyone have any suggestions?
I wouldn't rush to buy any textbooks until the first couple of days of classes have passed. For anatomy and physiology you'll either have ***or ***** and neither of them use the textbook, everything they test for can be found on their powerpoint slides. For HLST 152 it depends on the instructor but mine did use the textbook. The only textbook I would recommend buying early is the Fundamentals of Nursing for NURS 170, you'll be using that throughout the entire program.
When you were conditionally accepted you should have gotten an email (on your mymacewan gmail) with an attachment that included directions on how to register for classes. In the document there was a page that had 3 different patterns you could choose and they made it really clear that you had to do it that way or you would be "crossing patterns" and that it would mess up everybody's schedules. I know it seems kinda dumb but I guess its really important.

I think last year we had until Aug 1st to say pay the security deposit and say if we were coming or not. After august I'm sure the wait list will start to move. I do know that they give acceptances up to the first day of school as one of my classmates got an offer for acceptance the week before classes started.
