Hi, I am from BC and was wondering if anyone has applied for the Sept 2013 intake. I am curious about the early conditional acceptance that is offered. The academic advisor mentioned that there is specific date for early acceptance, it is first come first serve. With that being said, does anyone know a tentative date in which an applicant would be considered for early acceptance?

Seems we're on the same boat, lego.house! I got the "As soon as space is available you will be notified..." thing for this Fall 2013 and was conditionally accepted for January 2014 as well. I would prefer to start in the Fall but should just consider myself lucky if I got accepted into any term. And yes, the waiting is tough but honestly I'm glad I got this far, considering how competitive the program is.

Hey lego.house. Yup, I got my letter in the mail last week... it pretty much says the same thing on your myMacewan page ($200 tuition deposit, security clearance info, and the deadlines for these), plus other stuff having to do with university credits and GPA, Regular/Mature Admission subjects, that kind of thing (which is kind of the same info listed on the nursing admissions site). There's also an 'Acknowledgement of Acceptance Form' included that they want you to send in (which deals with the tuition deposit) but you can pay that online.

Perfect, mine just arrived today! And the GPA they stated for any courses that I've taken shouldn't be a problem to maintain so that's a relief too!

Got a call today and they're going through the waitlist to see who is still available to go in September and how much notice they would need to accept a place.

Hi there. New to this forum. Came across it when I was looking up information on being waitlisted. I got waitlisted for september as well :(

lego.house does this mean theres a chance this year that they have some extra room to take some people who were waitlisted?

I'm not sure if they have extra room or not. I think they're trying to shorten the waitlist so if a space opens up they aren't calling someone who doesn't want that spot. They asked me if I would like to still be on the waitlist for September or if I had made other plans for the fall. They also asked how much notice I would need to accept a position for the fall semester. Hopefully some spaces do open up though! If not, I'm fine for January, it'll give me some more time to work. A little extra cash never hurts :p

yeah that's very true. Since I have already taken 24 credits at gmac in science courses and wasn't sure what I want to do I'll have to take some extra courses and boost up my GPA even higher for winter so I won't be waitlisted again

thank-you for the info tho! its so frustrating waiting and not knowing whats going to happen. Especially since I feel like I've procrastinated the last bit with what program I should choose and now I'm really feeling the pressure to get in!
