Hi, I am from BC and was wondering if anyone has applied for the Sept 2013 intake. I am curious about the early conditional acceptance that is offered. The academic advisor mentioned that there is specific date for early acceptance, it is first come first serve. With that being said, does anyone know a tentative date in which an applicant would be considered for early acceptance?

We've all applied to the fall intake for the RN program and are waiting to hear back from admissions. Many of us have applied for the winter intake as well. :)

Hi! I applied to Grant Mac as well for Fall 2013 back in November. Unfortunately though, with how things worked out with my biology correspondence course last semester, I wasn't able to get early acceptance even with my high marks. So I am in the same boat as you guys right now. My application status right now says this: "We have evaluated your application and currently you meetthe requirements of the program however there are not spaces available at thistime. As soon as a space is available you will be notified by the Office of the Registrar." So I guess this means that I'm on the waiting list... reaaaally hoping that I'll be accepted! Hi ms20133! I just found out that I am on the admissible waitlist for September! I also found out that I was conditionally accepted for January, although I'm not sure what my conditions are yet, other than final transcripts and a security clearance. :) I only saw my acceptance online, so hopefully I'll be getting a letter/email soon telling me what I need.

Hang in there everyone, waitings tough but hopefully worth it.

Congrats! You should celebrate. Conditional acceptance means you're guaranteed admission as long as you keep over an 80% average if you don't it'll be Revoked. If your wait listed for fall call them and ask if you have a chance if you don't they are usually honest with you.

Hey everyone, I checked my myMacEwan account and it stated I got "conditionally accepted" for Winter 2014. I know what EARLY conditional acceptance is (applicants who are still doing course requirements, which I am not) so is "conditional acceptance" for everything else like the $200 deposit, security clearance, etc.? Kinda confused here since I've completed all HS requirements and already have 24 transferrable university credits.

Conditional acceptance for the post secondary category means you're guaranteed admission if you get the police check and deposit in before the deadline. Don't take any university courses while you're conditionally accepted because then they'll have to reassess your file because your gpa will obviously change and youll be last in line to be looked at while there are still seats.

Thanks for the info and the heads-up, Novo... I was thinking about taking a HLSC course but won't go ahead with it now, considering what you mentioned. I'm waiting for the letter in the mail/e-mail which, I'm guessing, will have extra info about the "conditions" before starting anything. I can't apply for the security clearance earlier than 3 months before the start of the program so eagerly waiting for that letter so I can get most everything out of the way as early as possible.
