Hello!
I am looking to hear from past, current and prospective GCU RN-BSN students.
Any recommendations on scholarships or how to save on tuition when out of state?
Any recommendations on professors?
I have stats, so I have to sub a course for that- anyone do the same?
Class doubling up- with which is wise? What is best to do on their own?
If you have any other suggestions, please let me know!
Thanks!
I was able to the ANA AND tuition reimbursement.
My employer participating with GCU was a 15% discount. They did not give me the ANA discount at 10% and the employer discount at 15%. It was going to be one or the other, but not both.
I got $2000.00 tuition reimbursement from my employer was separate from the discounts.
If they aren't giving the ANA discount anymore, it's something they stopped doing within the last few months.
Hi guys!!
I'm gonna hop in and join the conversation as I'm in the research process and will more than likely start the end of next month.
2 of my former class mates started in July of last year and and will be finished in 6 weeks. One is continuing straight through for her Masters. So, to me that says a lot about what she thinks about the program.
I think I'm gonna go for it after I make sure everything is legit.

Welcome aboard the GCU journey! You can find more info of those currently going through the program at two other links. Some of us have graduated and stick around for support. :)

They seem to flip flop in activity. :)

Awesome!! Thank you so much!
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for you guys??
I am looking into GCU too. I am debating on whether on looking into UTA and am not sure how many additional classes I might need (although I think their degree has a base of 9 classes to start instead of 12). I was hoping to see if anyone had any input on some of the original post regarding having statistics but still needing to take 12 classes. Wouldn't mind cutting my cost or the work load!
Thank you everyone for so much great information! So I'm back into looking seriously at GCU, and i'm planning to start courses in Dec/Jan. I have stats, so i get to skip HLT362V, but they only accepted 81 out of 84 elective credit hours. Any suggestions on what to take to fill that void? Anyone take something at a local community school to transfer it in or must I take the total of 36 credit hours at GCU?Also- how was using financial aid? One more thing- Can you ONLY break for 2 weeks or is longer allowed when paying out of pocket? My sister is newly engaged and I need to make sure I can be on break for her wedding!
thank you all so much, really!!

They still do offer a 10% discount for joining ANA. My employer partners with GCU at a better discount, that is the one they went with.
