Hey everyone! Has anyone heard of Grand Canyon University's accelerated BSN program? It just launched this year, and was wondering if anyone is applying to it? ABSN - two locations: Sun City and Tuscon.

Is the program not online? I assumed it would be.

Yes. Did you apply?
Yes, I have already gotten accepted! ?
That’s great! Congratulations! Do you start in August? I might be starting there too! I got accepted conditionally until I finish pathology and the religion class before August..

Hi there-
I just found out about this program and am talking with an admissions advisor tomorrow. Do you mind sharing what you experience has been in applying? I am taking my pre-reqs now and should have almost all of them out of the way by the fall so I would be looking for a January start.
Was it a difficult process to do? I was looking at Brookline until I saw that GCU has an accelerated option now.

I am working on my pre-reqs to begin this program next year. I would love to hear your experience with it!

Anyone going to the Tucson ABSN in January 2021?

I’m actually starting the Phoenix ABSN in January. I’m hearing some iffy reviews from some students who started the program this fall. I guess it’s literally 90% online and not 50/50 like the way it has been advertised and been said. There also wasn’t any powerpoints or any other guidance but many complained, so they are starting to give out powerpoints (not as helpful). And the Phoenix location isn’t allowing any in-person clinicals yet, but almost every other nursing program in Arizona has in-person clinicals. I’m kind of conflicted, but I’m hoping the program changes and gets better in January.
