Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Community Health Course sounds obnoxious... Is it Public Health Nurse sorts for things? Or, more being out in the community... having to create health related events, education etc??I have to tell you all I am 57. Do you think I am nuts for wanting a BSN? Many ppl are discouraging me.
That is really up to you. Do you want your BSN? Are people forcing you towards the BSN? Do what matters to you, and what you really want.
I enjoy school and my children are grown...
C'mon pink, JUMP IN! I am not being forced either, in fact, no one on my team has a BSN (not even my boss). I'm doing this because I want to, I also am "of age", have been out of ADN school >20 yrs. It was a personal goal of mine, long before there were grumblings in the nursing community that eventually we'd all need it. Certainly I'm cognizant of the reality out there, that if I were to leave my current position I'd probably need it, but again, that's not why I'm doing it. I like school too (some days better than others...), and even though the assignments are a drag sometimes and I'm sitting here avoiding my Wednesday homework as we speak, every time I finish a class I'm like "GO ME!"
Yay! So happy I found this thread! I'm in class 7 right now, Ethics. I'm tired but it's worth it! I'd love to push on to my Masters through GCU eventually!
Hey Vegan! Welcome to our little club of crazies!!
I tried to PM you but your box is full.... I'm in Ethics too, middle of week 2, are we in the same class? (no instructor names out here in the open, that's why I was PM'ing you LOL)
