Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

Kahn Academy on youtube helped me a lot in stats. Watched the video on the topic. Then watch the video while completing my problems (stopped, restarted, paused, restarted, stopped, restarted a lot, lol). Then did the same thing for the next problem.

Question for capstone. For the implementation plan assignment are we to actually have the materials needed for teaching aka power point, pamphlet or are we just writing about what things we might need to educate. The evaluation part looks like there's actual material needed like surveys or questionnaires? Can someone break this down for me

I recall making a pamphlet and a survey.....

Yes, that is correct. I had a power point, executive summary, pre and post survey, and a bulletin. I had the most fun with the power point, lol.. It turned out very well, IMO! :)

OK so I'm in week 2 where we have to fully appraise our 15 articles. It says we need 1-2 paragraphs for each section, does that mean each article appraisal or for each part of the appraisal aka 1 paragraph for the summary, one for the elements etc? My word count would be 7500 if that's the case. How am I going to do this in 2000 words or less?!

I was well over the word limit.....but asked the prof if that was ok.....

HI,

Statistics question. I am not great with Math, is Statistics going to be killer? What book is used for it? I'd like to get a head start if possible. Thanks!

I definitely recommend using the tutors online to verify your work in stats! I had done all the work, logged on, and had them check it and walk me through those questions I didn't quite understand. I ended up with an A in the class that way!

Quick question. Am I correct in thinking that the "Professional Research Project" is the capstone class, even though it is not the last class I am scheduled for?

or is the other class the capstone?
