Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Prism, what did you have to submit to tii?
Yes, I remember the TIA I had when I submitted my first workbook exercise in stats to TII. I just looked at my scores: wk1 45%, wk2 19%, wk3 23%, wk4 38%, wk5 37%. He never said a word...
The one that you may be remembering that made my head explode was the Literature Search in Research class - that one made me mad. One of those instances where different instructors interpret the assignment differently. Some classes literally copied/pasted the 3 research articles' abstracts into the paper, but mine? Nooooo. We had to find 3 articles and REWRITE the abstracts, and then run it through TII! C'mon! An abstract is short, concise, and only includes the main points of the article - how can you even rewrite that without it being >20% TII? I can't re-word the actual statistics, outcome, recommendations, etc., that was doomed to fail. I worked on that paper for two days, finally tweaked it down to 19%, and all I learned was how to manipulate words and switch around sentences to lower the dang score - I learned nothing about literature search
Not sure if you all get the email links to the monthly GCU magazine (it's a hardcopy magazine I get in snail-mail too, but there's an online version), if not, here it is: GCU Today Online Edition October 15 http://GCU Today Online Edition October 15
and here's the link to the college of nursing page: http://COLLEGE OF NURSING & HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS
I always find something interesting to read on here

I remember that as well. I forgot your instructor in stats didn't care of the high scores.
Yes, those lit reviews are tricky. I somehow kept my scores down in the capstone. Never figured out how I did when it's pretty much the same assignment as in research. But as you said, some of us didn't have submit to tii.

I get them in email and enjoy reading about the campus, move in day, sports. I see there is a nursing graduation coming up October 25th. I still have the video of mine saved. It was fun too see familiar names and see a face. Some I was hoping for a trip down the stairs for their superior attitude, but hey, can't have everything I guess

Although I probably qualify to walk at this point (in October), I'm waiting for the one in March or April so I'm totally done and grad-je-a-ted. I'll write "PRISM" on the top of my graduation cap so when you watch it you'll know it's me walking across that stage!!! :w00t:

I sort of regret not walking, but doing so by myself would have been rather anti-climatic, lol. Lots of selfy taking. Hehe
I'm expecting to see a sparkly prism go leaping across the stage! Let me know when you do this. I'm going to be cheering you on!!

I have a difficult time believing they won't let you switch. I personally wouldn't go anywhere until I knew my exact classes.
