I saw on the FAFSA for that WGU has a pretty low graduation rate. Anyone else concerned about this?

WGU is an online school. Many students aren't cut out for self-directed study programs that WGU has. Others drop out for other reasons. Some do flunk out as well.
I think you should go to BRN website and look at NCLEX pass rates for any nursing school you are considering more than the graduation rates. Also keep in mind that pass rates are a % of class size. WGU class size is small compared to other nursing schools so that will affect the % pass rate.

Is the prelicensure BSN or the RN-BSN?
I'm guessing a lot of people have a hard time with the self-directed learning. You have to have a high level of motivation to succeed in this program.

The low graduation rate is reflective of the fact that many of WGU's programs are open-admissions, meaning anyone age 16 and over can be admitted after passing the simple admission exam. The typical American community college has a graduation rate of about 20 percent, which reflects the open-admissions policies.

If you are self motivated and driven you will not have a hard time at WGU. I can see those that need someone telling them what to do each step of the way having issues. I think WGU has tried to remedy this by providing pacing guides for most classes.

Txredapple hit the nail on the head. I didn't find WGU that difficult to do as long as I stayed on task. The minute I skewed from my study regimen the tougher time I had getting back on task. The role of the mentor helped because I had to own up to being busy or just not "on the job", which I wanted to avoid. All in all it was a good experience and I received my BSN and MSN with them.
