Hello
I'm new to the site and in need of some advice.Well I took the pn nclex 6 yrs ago failed it and never took it again,I gave up.Last year I called the BON to find out what steps are needed to retake the test and I was told to fill out the application and submit it.Signed up for a refresher class for my benefit completed it and I've been studying since, did Kaplan and now working on Saunder's 3rd edition.I've stop feeling sorry for myself after reading some of these stories because I know I can do it if I grad from school.Oh how bad I want to become a nurse.Just want to think everyone.

Hi, I am not new to the site, but it has been a long time since I have posted anything. Most of the time I just read everyone's post's. I know exactly how you feel. I too graduated from PN school awhile ago. Mine was 10 years go. I can't seem to figure out where the time has gone. I took the test twice and failed both attempts. I made near passing scores both time. I blame myself because, I feel that I didn't study as hard, I just couldn't concentrate and gave up very easy. I am studying once again, this time I have a different approach. I am taking the exam in July or August. I live in Florida and you only get 3 attempts before you have to take a refresher course. I am going to pass my third attempt. Then I am planning on going to LPN-RN transition program. During my 10 year absence, got married had 3 kids and managed to get my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, while working fulltime, I still am. I can't believe I gave up so easily! All the posts lately everyone has passed, which has given me hope! I know that we can do it! Nothing is going to stop me now!
Hi
We have such similar stories.Have you submitted your application yet? What books are you using?Study, study everyday.REMEMBER YES WE CAN.I really would like to keep in touch.
I haven't completed the application yet! I really need to pass, this time around, which will be my 3rd attempt. If I don't I will have to take a remediation course, which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but it is very expensive. Right now I am reading a Foundation in Nursing, to refresh my memory. Once I finish reading that I am going to purchase a Saunders, Kaplan or Lippencott book. I will probably purchase the La Charity book for delegation I really need that. We can definately keep in touch!
Ok, I won't be buying the La Charity book, I just found out it is for RN's! Does anybody know of a good book for LPN's that have delegation, prioritizing? I could really use one!

couldnt help but feel you in your post. our stories are so similar. felt the same way before my latest attempt. browsed thru allnurses website and read other peoples stories then didnt feel quite so alone. felt hopeful afterwords and continued to browse to get inspired. i did my study plan, studied, read, answered numerous questions and finally made it.
your study plan sounds good. you seem to be focusing on one book/course at a time. have you been able to get your eligibility yet? take it a step at a time and you will reach your goal.
good luck to you!!
Thanks so much
How long were you out of school before you passed your test lpn or rn ?
