Congratulations! It is something to be very proud of and will definitely help you when it comes to applying to graduate schools.

4.0 in Nursing School, WOW! I too was thinking it wasn't possible till I saw your post. I start NS in June and I am nervous and excited. I was wondering if you had any study tips/routines to share? I'd love to hear any ideas of how you prepped for tests, etc.

Specializes in critical care, PACU.

I had a normal grading scale

I am pretty ADD when it comes to listening to lectures and know I dont learn well from them so I found I learned best by seriously reading everything in the textbook and committing it to memory. I only had to read it once to get there and then I would do focused memorization on the more memorizy things like labs and meds.

I think what helped the most was that I was always learning by teaching and I made alot of study guides and practice questions. I made entire practice tests. By making practice questions I was able to try to think how an instructor would think and this has helped me so much.

I also bought Saunder's before I started nursing school and did practice questions that correlated to what I was being tested on. Sometimes I would study from saunders instead or in addition to my textbooks too. It really gets you ahead too because you are more experienced when it comes to NCLEX studying.

As I said before, I just really wanted to learn everything I possibly could in the time allotted. I also have a photographic memory though so it's really about figuring out what works for you and not wasting time on what doesnt work.

Good luck :)
