Innocence. Had a 9th grader come in to my office and when I asked her what she needed, she spelled out P-A-D.
It's nice to see a Little Darling being modest. Made me smile.

I have so many of these girls doing that! I just tell them to be straight with me, and they shouldn't feel uncomfortable telling me that they need Pads, I'm here for that and I am a female too, so it's fine. I find it endearing and kinda funny, but then again we were like that once upon a time.

Sweet.
I always try to meet the kid's comfort level. Some kids come in announcing "I need a pad!" and I point at the cabinet. Others look like a deer in the headlights and I ask if they'd like to ask me something in the other room for privacy.

Nurse Barb G handles it the best. Now that I have 5th graders I get to deal with this more and more
What is her approach?
