I did all of my remaining general ed courses online through my local community college. It does cost a little more, but saved my sanity when I could no longer 'self study.' For example, I cannot study for the NCLEX-RN to save my life when I get home. However, having a 'structured' online course I had no problem logging on and do what I needed to do!
thanks, i guess i should look into that. I kinda want to Clep out of those courses that i can, only i do not know what Humanities and Social Science classes that can be clepped to get my credit...i've never clep anything before! Uggghhh I know i want this bad enough i'll make it work somehow, i'm just frustrated, it's not been a good week for me and it's only tues!

If there are some classes where you feel like you should get credit, I would definitely call them and discuss it. There is a big Humanities CLEP for which I think EC will grant 6 credits, and then there are some of the DSST exams: DSST - GetCollegeCredit.com
Don't be discouraged!! You can still do this. It's just a couple of extra classes, and you'll knock them out.

It looks so bad on paper, but when you start taking these classes they go pretty fast. And do as Lisa says, DSST is accepted by EC. I'm pretty sure that EC is very generous with their CLEP acceptance. I did lots my classes at the local CC because they were easier - I couldn't face teaching myself Micro, took a summer course - that's an idea, lots of condensed courses in the summer, look at your local colleges and maybe you can knock some out.

I took clep humanities exam 6 credits, on Excelsior website somewhere u can c what cleps are accepted as humanities or social sciences. I hate taking time to go to class. The social science clep is 6 credits also dsst tests are easier than cleps my opinion

CLEP Analysis of Literature is worth 6 credits...and it the easiest test I've ever taken. You can buy a REA review book for about $15...has all the info in it you will need to pass. It's basically just reading & comperhension.
good luck :-)
awwww thanks you guys that really helps me!!! I was thinking i was going to have to tkae like 6 extra tests, but if i can get 6 credits for one test then really i'm only up two extra tests! As always i totally appreciate you all! =)
yeah i took two other PSY classes and i didn't recieve credit for those and do not know why...also where do i take or where can i find to take a DSST exam?
Usually whereever you take a clep, just google dsst and the web site comes up. Its college board something, and then you do a search on test locations.
