Do not be discouraged for God is with you....What i can tell you now is just relax for a few days and start preparing again and u can take it again after ur 45 days...I failed my first test with all 265 questions on April 11th, i felt worthless but i had to dust my back like nothing had happend and started preparing again...what i did was just questions, read all the rationale i never opened any book or Kaplan again, i just did nclex 4000, Lacharity and prayed....prayer is the key to success i can tell you that....pray to God, tell Him what you want and He will do it for you...I read this bible verses all the time morning and night...Matthew 7:7-9 and Palms 121..this really worked for my...MY 45 days was up on the 29th of May, so i took my exam on the June 13th on Monday and to day i can boldly tell you that i passed..Trust in thy Lord God and He will make a way where there seems to be no way......Jusus is the way to Nclex. try Him first.
Same thing happened to me on Tuesday, except I got all 265 questions. At first I was so distraught and embarassed. All my classmates were posting that they passed on Facebook, It made me feel inadequate. The next day after crying my eyes out I pulled it together (especially since it was my 25th birthday). I stopped feeling sorry for myself and began thinking of all the things I HAD: A degree in Nursing, A loving husband and family, and the fact that I'm 4 months pregnant with my first child. One test is NOT going to define me.
I was sooo nervous but had to call the hospital where I was offered a RN postion (orientation this Monday!). The Nurse recruiter was more than helpful, and told me that she had also failed the NCLEx the first time and that it doesn't predict what kind of nurse you will be! That made me feel a WHOLE lot better. She also offered me a tech position for the month and a half before retesting, then I will transfer into an RN position once I pass God is good!
Like mentioned, take some time off to cry your eyes out and get back at it girly!!! Our time will come sooner than later! and in the grand scheme of things, what is 45 days!?!? Good luck to you!
hi nursewinn..so is there really a possiblity that you could've passed wihtout getting the pop up?? i stopped at 76 questions.
I haven't heard of anyone who got to the cc page and passed, myself included. But there's always a first, I would like to know where this 80% accurate came from, because at the moment it seems 100% accurate. Anyways it's always best to wait for the official results. Good Luck

So I took the exam, got 75 questions and thought I have this down. And got home and the PVT didn't work.
I did a Kaplan class and virtual ATI. I am so discouraged and frustrated and down. I feel defeated because I don't know what else I could have done.
I'm not sure I really expect out of this posting because all I see are the hooray! type postings for the passing folks (and I am happy for them).
My plans are to use what's left of Kaplan online and go through all of the classes again plus lessons on demand and deplete my qbank of questions. I am going to see what ATI will let me do (although I don't feel it was that useful AND I got the green light from them to test so I am not sure what is going on) and see what plan they can formulate.
That will keep me busy but any advice to reasonable supplement that is appreciated.
Thanks.
