I wanted to start a thread for anyone out there applying to Gordon College's Fall 2014 Nursing program.

I will be submitting my application soon and then the fun of waiting will begin! Good luck to everyone else that is applying!

I know it's is but at the same time it's so close! Everything will change if I get accepted and that's scary!!

sj015254, I'm assuming you were in the last group to be tested? What is the group size on your score sheet?

I guess I did not notice a score sheet group size.... I took it on the computer... and there was 27 people taking it... and I made the same thing I made last semester a 72.5... How did everyone do?

Did you guys hear that next application period they are not requiring the TEAS test? My friend told me she got an email saying that.

I hadn't heard that. I wonder why? I know back when all of the CNA certification confusion first started I called the Nursing Department, they told me they were requiring it, but changed it last minute and as of right now it's only recommended but they will require it very soon. Maybe they are replacing the TEAS with it? I think they should, I know two of the girls that I took my CNA class with (both Gordon students) changed their major after our clinicals, it was a big eye opener for them.

I got an email that says they will no longer require the TEAS as well as to pass the CT one must make at least a 70.

Pretty silly, if you ask me. The TEAS is standard pretty much anywhere. People should be able to demonstrate they have some sort of grasp on the sciences, IMO. Maybe they will just look closer at science GPA. Just not a fan of different rules for different cohorts is all.

Also, I didn't get an email. Why would they only email some people and not others? :(

maybe it depends on your advisor as to who got an email? I had a different advisor last year and I never got emails, now I do...just a thought....
