I will be submitting my application soon and then the fun of waiting will begin! Good luck to everyone else that is applying!

Dropped off my application packet this morning! Now the waiting begins! :/

Yes the waiting part stinks! I am scheduled to take my state certification for my CNA license this Friday, as soon as I have that out of the way I will be ready to turn my application packet in! Is this your first time applying?

I didn't get it since they aren't requiring it anymore for Fall. With moving expenses, I couldn't justify the added expense of the course and certification just for extra consideration. I'm fairly confident in the rest of my application, so hopefully it doesn't hurt my chances. Yes, it's my first time applying! Excited!

I totally understand. :-) I applied last semester but didn't get in. My TEAS score isn't where I want it to be so while I was off this past semester from school I decided to take the CNA course to help give me a boost. Hopefully this go-round things will work out in my favor.

Oh I understand completely, it's a beast of a test! So glad that's over! Do you happen to know the lowest TEAS they accept? I know the minimum is in the 60s, but what do you need to be competitive for admission?

From what I've read on previous blogs just about anyone with 75+ gets in. I have seen some in the lower 60's get accepted, but it was their 2nd or 3rd time applying. I do know they give extra consideration to you if you're a Gordon student.

I just started taking classes there this semester, so I am not sure if that counts? I heard they place a lot of weight on the critical thinking test, hopefully I do well on that. My teas is 82 though.

I'm not positive, but I heard you have to have at least 12 credit hours with Gordon before they will consider you a Gordon student for the nursing program. I'm not sure if there is any truth to it or not, but an 82 is a great TEAS score, you should have no problem getting in!

I think I had heard that too, but I wasn't sure. Hopefully my GPA and TEAS are enough without the extra points for being a Gordon student, ugh!
