Gordon College Fall 2014 Hopefuls

I just checked their website and noticed they've made changes to reflect what they sent you guys in the e-mails. Are they saying it's for sure starting next application period? I have a friend who made a 68.8% on the Critical Thinking exam last month and now she's not sure if she's even going to be considered. Neither of us are Gordon students so we haven't gotten any type of e-mail.

I highly doubt they would change requirements mid-application cycle. Since the admissions committee is already evaluating applications for Fall, they most likely changed the website in preparation for the Spring applicants. I didn't receive an email about it, and I'm a Gordon student. I think if they were changing it for people who had already applied, they would have sent all of the applicants from this cycle an email. I wouldn't worry too much if I was your friend. :)

I spoke to someone in the office today - they confirmed the new entrance exam requirements do not go into effect until the Spring application cycle. Hope that helps alleviate some stress!

Thanks, you too! Hopefully I'm not the only one feeling like this waiting period is taking F-O-R-E-V-E-R. :-) Good news is, we should have an answer in 6 weeks or less!

Yes it is going slow. I am under the understanding that we will hear, after 8 weeks from when applications were due, correct? That would be March 27th.. right? so I did not understand if Ashley H was saying 6 more weeks? am I missing something?

No, it's 8 weeks from when the admissions packets were distributed, which puts it around April 30. The aide confirmed this date as well.

Yeah, six weeks was just a round-about figure. I was also told they will mail the letters out around April 30th. During the last application period they said October 30th and I received mine on October 30th. It would be awesome, but I'm not getting my hopes up thinking they will send them out any earlier.

Last Fall, people started receiving letters around April 22. I am betting with all the snow days, it will be April 30 this year
