Depending on where you work, I've heard it refered to as call light, or call bell. Maybe there's another one for it and wonder what you refer to it as on your job. Anyhooz, I am sure that there have been certain days, or certain patients that just crack you up with some really very odd requests following "Can I Help You?" Would love to hear some. Just got off a 12 hr and my particular floor is considered "The Rodeo" and could use some laughs.
"My pillow doesn't feel right. Can you fluff it?" (Pt. has full use of entire body. And was completely serious.)
"I'm cold, can you pull the blanket over me?" (Same pt., and the blanket was beside her.)
"Can you hold my member for me while I use the urinal?" (Pt. didn't need help.)
"I'm hot! I'm blind! HELP!" (Normally oriented pt. with blanket over her head. Found out later she had a UTI.)
