Thanks everyone!
PennEm when and how was your interview process? I was told that they will let new grad applicants know in couple of weeks. I heard that new grad program will start at the end of February or begining of March for critical care units. I liked all the speakers at the information session. Everyone was so nice, encouraging and welcoming! Good luck to you!
The interview process wasn't too bad. I first met with the nurse recruiter in HR and he made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Then, I had a secondary interview with the nurse manager and the charge nurses on the floor. They were also very nice and basically had a set list of questions to ask--nothing out of the ordinary or tricky. How was the New Grad open house? I'm curious what the orientation program offers.
PennEm, the open house was very good. A lot of good information, we got to meet department managers. They explained to us how the new grad program works and it is well designed. There was at least 200 -300 hundred applicants. One of the managers told us that one of the things they look at in selection process is GPA. That is good because my GPA is good and could help me get the interview. I liked the place and all the speakers. I just have to hope that I will get the phone call soon! What is your department?
has anyone else heard from good sam lately? an e-mail about 3 weeks ago provided me a link to the "next step" of the application process, which consisted of taking a 25 question test that was scored (i didn't have access to my score). about a week and a half later, i get this e-mail:
the e-mail was dated march 3. i've moved on to the next step, yay! but i haven't received any update since! =\ i feel like i've gone through 3 rounds of 'narrowing down the candidate pool,' (ie, online application, on-site application that involved essay-like writing, 25 question scored test) although this e-mail suggests that this is only the first round. o_o; hehe.[color=#427d64]thank you for taking the time to apply to good samaritan hospital's new grad training program. we enjoyed having you here at our facility. we apologize for our lengthy screening process - we had to review and assess each and every applicant's profile that we received. thank you for your patience. the good news is that we were able to narrow down our candidate pool to a selected group. we are happy to inform you that you made it through the first round of our selection process. we will contact you again and update you with our progress.[color=#427d64]once again, thank you for your interest and your patience.
has anyone received a similar e-mail and can give me an update on what's happened since? can i anticipate an interview (finally)? i would call hr, but from the very beginning, they have advised us against doing so, saying that our calls will only delay the process even further...
thanks in advance!
