I truly thank to this site. I had so many encouragements and informations from here.
I took my test yesterday, got 87 questions. Most of my classmates passed with 75 questions, so you will not imagine how much I was shivering when I saw #76 and especially #76 and #77 were easy ones!
It took 3.5 hours to solve 87 questions, I got 18 SATA, 4 maths, 6-8 meds, no deligation, no drag, no hot spots, no charts, and tons of priotirizations.
As soon as I got out, I went to Sturbucks to do PVT, and got a good popup! yeah!
I graduated from my school last June, and studied for 7 weeks. Because I have a job and 3 kids, I studied about 3-5 hours with my husband's help.
The thing is, I only studied with Kaplan qbank and qtrainers, and the study guide I got here. I took online Kaplan classes, but didn't read Kaplan study guide book, or other books. Because my qbank overall score was 53%, trainer scores were all 50s %, and my readiness test was 52%, I was so scared to look at other materials.
I just sticked to the Kaplan, and the study guide. I thought Kaplan questions and rationals were enough to review contents.
I used Saunders book or Google for just finding some pictures or topics that I didn't know. But I didn't study with Saunders, or other nclex books.
I just did Kaplan, Qbank and all of the Qtrainers twice. (Kaplan SATAs were way harder than actual Nclex SATAs. ) I printed out the study guide and made some notes on the pages whenever I needed to add something that I learned from Kaplan. I brought the study guide to everywhere. It had 35 pages, but I added some pages for meds, diets for each diseases (you need to know!), peds (immunizations, developments), so it became total 40 pages. I read the study guide in a car when I waited for my kids from summer camp and at my break time at work. It was helpful, a lot!
So, I will get my result tomorrow, but I believe the PVT will work. I'll post when I get my result.
hi congrats!!! this site is a real motivator to me either!! every day before starting with my study i give a glance to some of the motivating comments here!!!
