The "GOOD POP UP" is only good if it says to contact your Board of Nursing within the text of not being able to register. Yes it does work. I was also told that pass or fail in California it will give you those words and will not take you to the cc page. Remember if it says contact board of nursing in the not allowed to register message, you passed. After your re-exam papers are up for sending to the mail will it allow you to proceed. That is the key difference in the not being able to register at this time message.
No its not a gimmick. I happen to be one that has taken the test recently. A family friend that has intimate relations with the BVNPT had given me this information and I forwarded it on because I did get the "GOOD POP UP" and was happy about it until I was told that. Now I sit in limbo waiting for results. The info came directly from someone I know personally that work for BVNPT and if they are wrong I will definitely let you know.
You are not reading carefully. No one is upset. But you don't seem to understand what IS being said here. Your post did contain inaccurate info, which IS bound to confuse and upset those who really need to know what is accurate as they stare down the monster of the NCLEX.
The POINT is that the 'good popup' messge (am despising that phrase by now!) has a VARIETY of words. IT DOESN'T MATTER what they are, as long as they don't allow you to immediately schedule another exam (credit card page for payment). And the reason I personally hate this trick thing is because people HAVE been misled a small percentage of the time.
If you receive a message saying your results are 'on hold', that is not an indication of pass OR fail. It only means it is under review. You might pass. You might fail.
Do you understand now?
It is not a hoax. It is a facet of the software. If you passed it will nor allow you to register and pay the registration fee again. If you passed and had to pay again, then Pearson would be in major trouble. The have an IT department that makes sure the software is functioning. If there was a glitch which would have allowed a passing tester to re-register and pay I am sure the IT department would have fixed that and prevented that from happening.
I suspect your inside source does not know much about that. I also suspect that Pearson does not encourage their employees to confirm or even lend credence to the trick for very obvious reasons.
Remember they have a huge IT department. They are pretty much on top of it.
First, the whole "contact your BON" portion of the pop up has been removed from most of the pop ups because of the insane influx of calls to the Boards from impatient GNs. I just took mine last week, got said "good pop up," and nowhere does it say that anymore. The OLD pop up DID say that. There are a few posts on here with screen shots if you'd like to see for yourself.
Next, it is NOT 100% reliable. End of story. You can even see from an informal survey on here of hundreds of members that it's not always accurate. From the survey itself, it looks to have about 90% accuracy. It is a TRICK, and ONLY a trick. It is NOT official, and there ARE errors.
Nothing is official until it is official.
Also, if you can quote people, it makes reading your posts SIGNIFICANTLY easier. We know to whom you are speaking that way. Good forum etiquette. :)

Okay if tnat's how you feel. Again I only posted what I was told. Feel as you may, I was merely forwarding some information that was given to me. In no way was it intended to upset anyone at all.
