Good pop up and remar review

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my nclex today for the second time. I used the remar review only this time. I didn't even do questions. When taking the test, for questions I was unsure of, I used ABC then nursing process and then maslows. I took one hour to answer 85 total questions. Almost every single question, with the exception of one (EKG) was in the remar review. From studying the remar review, I knew the answers or at least partially and could narrow it down, for every single question.

As soon as I left the testing center, I got into my car, made sure my test said delivery successful, and got the GOOD POP UP.

Diligence and prayer is key. Staying focused was hard but I took a deep breath and said a short prayer when I felt overwhelmed and at the 85the question, I knew I wasn't getting any more questions cause I knew for certain, based off my knowledge from the remar review, that I was answering them correctly.

I had 1 EKG, NO math at all, a ton of maternity and psych questions, 5 about disease processes, 1 med, and a ton of priority or patient teaching. I had a few delegation. 1 drag and drop, 3 exhibits, no hot spots, and I swear probably at least 60 SATA.

If I can do it, you can too!

I am just thinking about buying the quick facts book....I can't really afford a huge package... but that book seems really interesting

YAY!!! CONGRATS!!! I'm soo excited you passed! This is a relief to know all about the Review and was pretty unsure if the review was enough for nclex. Now that makes me more eagar to study it. Thx soo much for your update! How many months did you study and how many times did you review the materials?

eelise11,

Do you know how happy I am for you?!!! Congratulations. All those PM's, feedback, and information we shared .....I can only smile now knowing you are no longer stressed and conquered the exam. I guessed you truly "showed 'em what you got"! ;)

Thank you very much for responding to my questions. It really help me make a great decision with the study material. I'm loving it!!!

Thank you for the love everyone! It means so much to me. To answer everyone's question in one long post....

Hey im also using remar any last mi ute advise for me im taking my test on the august 30th and also what did u get frm her practice exam?

Thanks! What I did was started with the DVDs. I went through all the DVDs with her and did all the homework she recommended along with reading quick facts. After I completed the DVDs, I did the activity book, front to back. Then I watched the DVDs again, while following along with the notes I had already filled out just to reinforce and add anything I missed. Then, I read those notes and quick facts every single day. Over and over. I didn't use Saunders and I didn't so questions but that was mainly because I had a good test taking strategy, I was just lacking in content.

The first time I did the practice exam after I finished the review, I got a 69. She said 50 is good. The second time I reviewed all the info, i took the practice exam again and got an 84.

The night before my test, I read quick facts front to back. What I did initially was highlighted things I already knew so I knew to concentrate harder on the things not highlighted. I covered then right half of the page with the answers, and as I read each question on the left, I tried to answer it. If I got t right, I highlighted that section on the left. After reading quick facts front to back 3 times, I had the whole book highlighted.

Also, her blog is full of info that's not in the review. I only read over that stuff once but it was worth it. Also, I watched every one of her YouTube videos.

I have a 2 year old daughter, husband and home but I'm not working. I studied every spare moment I had. I was determined to pass this time. I studied her review every single day for 3 weeks, non stop and passed my nclex today with that review only.

:) you can do this! I did it and so can you.

I am glad to read this! I just found out I failed mine! "Near passing standard" on all areas=not good enough to pass. :( Where do I find this review? Do you have any info? I can't pay $300-$500 for a review course. Thank you for posting!
