In order to be released from monitoring in my state, the monitoring board has to meet and vote to approve your release. They are voting on Friday and if I get the okay, I will be released 6/3.
I am trying to stay in the moment but it's so hard. I had a rough go my first two months in monitoring -- I relapsed, went back to treatment, and then attempted suicide shortly after transitioning to IOP. So it's not too far-fetched that they might declare that I need extra monitoring.
I am actually going back up to rehab to celebrate three years of sobriety (5-1-14) this Friday. Seems appropriate.
But it's gonna be a loooong week ya'all.

Congrats on making 3 years that's an accomplishment in itself.
Can I ask you how long is your probation period? If it's 3 years long and you're asking to get off at the 3 year mark then I don't see why they would deny it since you did what they asked.

I am sending positive thoughts your way. You deserve this! I am sure they will see your progress and hopefully agree to let you be done. Congratulations either way, you have done what at first seemed impossible. Let yourself be proud (a little!)
You have often responded to my questions, so I definitely wanted to wish you well and hope that the time goes by fast while you are waiting to hear. Best wishes Hippie!

Well considering they cancelled the meeting and "might" meet next week... :\ Just. Ugh.
Yeah, the program is 3 years here.
