I just received an alternate list letter. I was wondering if anyone else got one or was accepted, and if so, when did you receive your acceptance letter? Also, how many are one the alternate list? I am happy to be on any list at this point!

Congrats to you. I didn't win the lottery :(

Oh, I thought you were already in the program? I am only on the alternate list...it's better than nothing, but I don't plan on getting in. I am definitely not holding my breath. I am applying to CSULB for the entry-level master's program. I am taking the TEAS on the 13th. I am studying. Thanks for your reply!

BTW, sorry about not getting in...it is ridiculous how difficult it is to get in. I have been stressed for years about the pre-reqs, teas, nursing school, etc. Did you apply to any other schools?

In my pharm class there were a lot of people who were accepted to other schools, so you might have a shot if they were picked!

I applied to Cypress (waitlisted), Santa Ana (waitlisted), Saddleback, and GWC. I have two Cs on my transcripts... in A&P. We had a combo class in Colorado and I bombed a test in each semester once due to illness and once due to my job. There was no way to recover and now I'm stuck with the grades which kills me. I am going to keep reapplying and hope I will get in somewhere eventually. I have chem and algebra and I will try to apply for a BSN somewhere too.

Thanks for the info. Are you taking pharm at GW? I need to take that as well. Was it hard to get in to? Do you have an AA yet? Sorry about all the ? but I just wonder what other people do while waiting to get accepted somewhere...

Ouch! I have A & Bs and still have trouble getting in anywhere. I am also wait-listed at SAC. I am 270 something. What # are you on the list? I applied to Saddleback and denied. I applied to LBCC last year and was denied, but I was not digging the parking there anyway. It was too much of a struggle.

I have my BA so I hope that I can get into CSULB...I would love to have my masters.

I'm nervous...I haven't heard anything yet! Hopefully tomorrow?! My best friend was on the alternative list and they called her 2 weeks before the semester started so hang in there! She is in her second semester and told me some of her classmates came off the AL too, so I think there is hope for you!

KR11, seriously? Wow, I can't believe it. I would freak if I got called! I wonder how many are on the AL list? I got two notification letters yesterday. One said that I was not selected and the other said I was not selected but on the AL list? I am going to call tomorrow and make sure that everything is correct. Thanks for the upated..good luck to you!

Take pathophysiology as well as any other courses you need to get out of the way in order to graduate from the program

Pharmacology at GWC is awesome. It shouldn't be that hard to get into as the class is taught in Forum I (lots of seats). I took the class while doing pre-reqs to try to reduce my workload when I get in to an RN program (I have to work while in school). To my knowledge, only one prefessor teaches pharm at GW (Egan), but she's awesome. One of my favorite things about her class is that she posts her lectures online. Her lectures are powerpoint based, and she recorded most (by now probably all) of the spoken part of the lectures in her office. The end result is that (except for the ability to ask questions), you see and hear exactly the same thing online as you would if you attend class. Combine the with the fact that there is no attendance grade and the whole thing becomes unbelievably convenient (not to mention you can review lectures on topics you're having trouble with). The whole thing definitely felt a lot easier with the online resources.
