Ok I am with a health agency been there for 5 year, bu only have 3 clients a week, so I have applied to other agencies. I have an interview with one, bu the administrator has another job. this agency has been open since 2007. the interview was schedule for saturday but was called an asked to meet administator at DQ after work. I had went to the office to drop off application, and its a older house that has som office furniture and filing cabinets. They have a brochure and business card, but anyone with a computer can print those. On the brochure it states the Medicare status is pending but they take other insurance and private pay. What should I do? I am not leaving my current positon I just want to pick up more clients.

I would deal with them long enough to see how things are going to go. You could get the one or two more weekly clients that you need. If the first paycheck bounces, you know to beat feet. Meanwhile, continue to look for a more established agency. Good luck.

I agree, go with your gut. The medicare issue is a concern. First of all, since they've been in business since 2007 I would wonder why they haven't been certified, or if it's possible that they lost their certification.
The agency sounds kind of slapped together.
Also, I worked for an agency that was private pay clients only, the shifts were few and far between and I ended up getting cancelled a lot. In the end it wasn't worth the trouble.
Well got a call back from a more established agency. Background check this week and got to go in next week for paperwork and to start training. only a prn positon right now but can turn into full time.

I wouldn't give any pertinent personal information-social security number, a copy of my license.....NOTHING to someone who asks me to "meet at a DQ," instead of a business address.....
Well over a year later an the shady sounding agency contacted me . I told them I was still not interested .

Your gut rules. I am now on my 4th job since moving to TX 4 years ago. Whereas before in OK, I had 2 jobs in 30 years!!! I have been promised the moon and then kicked in the butt.
