Hi, just wondering if anyone has gone through a similar situation in Massachusetts.
Applied to take my boards two weeks ago and says that it's in review. I emailed for an update and they just said I'm in coordinator review status and wait for processing.
Anyone with a criminal history, did you send your explanation letter and court documents when you applied? Or did you wait until you received an email asking for more information?
Earlier in the year I emailed the GMC people since I saw online that one policy said I should send the court documents before my application and another said after (annoying). They told me to apply and then wait for a letter in the mail? Has anyone gone through this in MA. I'm anxious every single day about this !
Yes, I sent in all documentation. I sent her email today asking her what if any progress and she said I will get a letter stating the application was received. And that the applications are worked in the order received. That was it. I have a women for a coordinator. Everything has been so slow. I'm thinking at this point I need to find a new career path. I even said that to her in the email, like hey do you have any idea how much longer this will be it's been 8 months!
I'm assuming you're in MA??? The coordinator that I had sent me the letter via email so I could start gathering the documents but then when they saw the documents from the court they said I needed a meeting with the board due to the charges I have. But the coordinator stopped responding to me when I asked how long until I got a meeting.
Yes I'm in mass, she did tell me I would need to meet with the board also. However has given me no date nor any idea when it will be. They have already met for January so maybe I can get in for the February date. How long did it take you after they let you know that you have submitted everything?
I believe the first week of October all my documents were submitted I was told I needed to have a meeting and I asked how long does it typically take and was ignored. So tried to email a week later, ignored again. Emailed different people, nothing. So in November I found (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) email and wrote how I felt like I am being discriminated against because of my criminal history and I feel like I don't matter and being brushed to the side. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) responded the next day and we spoke back and forth for maybe a week to double check I had everything in order and put me on for the December meeting. You should just email him, tell him how you feel and how you have waited way too long and want your meeting next month!
@Jay Harris send me your email and I will send you the email address of the man that helped my case. After I spoke to him he got me on the next months meeting

I got a meeting with BON in December and sat for my NCLEX yesterday & passed ?
A lot of stress and waiting but happy ending!
I have been waiting to ear about the meeting since June there is another meeting on 9/11 and I have heard nothing back
Hi do you have that email? I have been waiting after being told all documents have been received and I have a job to start in August. I have no convictions, had a bs case opened that was dismissed but didn't realize it was even open when I sent in my application. I have since sent documents stating it has been closed/dismissed along with explanation. I feel like I shouldn't be stuck waiting when I don't even have any convictions. It was a misunderstanding.

Did you send in all your documentation? If so, did they reach out to you with letters in the mail or email?
The meeting was via zoom and I think before I even get on camera they must go through everything because the man running the meeting just listed out al the documents I sent in and a brief summary of the explanation letter I had sent.
The BON was literally like you look good and provided proof that you've been out of trouble for a long time and agree to let you sit for the NCLEX.
