  1. @Jay Harris send me your email and I will send you the email address of the man that helped my case. After I spoke to him he got me on the next months meeting
  2. I believe the first week of October all my documents were submitted I was told I needed to have a meeting and I asked how long does it typically take and was ignored. So tried to email a week later, ignored again. Emailed different people, nothing. So in November I found (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) email and wrote how I felt like I am being discriminated against because of my criminal history and I feel like I don't matter and being brushed to the side. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) responded the next day and we spoke back and forth for maybe a week to double check I had everything in order and put me on for the December meeting. You should just email him, tell him how you feel and how you have waited way too long and want your meeting next month!
  3. I'm assuming you're in MA??? The coordinator that I had sent me the letter via email so I could start gathering the documents but then when they saw the documents from the court they said I needed a meeting with the board due to the charges I have. But the coordinator stopped responding to me when I asked how long until I got a meeting.
  4. Did you send in all your documentation? If so, did they reach out to you with letters in the mail or email? The meeting was via zoom and I think before I even get on camera they must go through everything because the man running the meeting just listed out al the documents I sent in and a brief summary of the explanation letter I had sent. The BON was literally like you look good and provided proof that you've been out of trouble for a long time and agree to let you sit for the NCLEX.
  5. Yesss, I had the help of a friend who found the compliance officers email address & he took over my case for me. I got a meeting with BON in December and sat for my NCLEX yesterday & passed ? A lot of stress and waiting but happy ending!
  6. anyone have to go to a meeting with the board of nursing!? Asked them how long that typically takes and they ignore all my emails now.. wondering if anyone has had to have a meeting with the board for a criminal record?
  7. I know they had their monthly meeting today so maybe they were busy. Or the guy who always responds is away LOL Pray for me girl. I was so over the drama in my life and it came back to haunt me and feeling like a loser. I will pray for you ?
  8. They just said they have to find out when the hearing will be and let me know all the details about how to attend. I emailed again asking how long is that process but they did not respond LOL He's usually quick with his responses so I think he just doesn't know how to answer LOL I went back and forth for a week or two with the paperwork. Make sure everything is sent from the court directly. I also had to edit in a couple things to my letter and resume. And I think for minor charges they just approve it and you get your ATT. They said that because of my charges they need to have a hearing. I hope they just want to see me and make sure I'm "rehabilitated" Do you know how long it takes for a hearing? I know they have meetings once a month and didn't hear anything for Octobers meeting which is today ?

  10. If you send me your email maybe I can send you the link. If you haven't worked you have to explain in your letter what you did throughout that gap. I haven't looked into an NH license because of the commute ? wait I think I was able to upload the requirements. Hope you get them! nursing-good-moral-character-information-sheet.pdf
  11. Thank you! I'm so anxious and getting headaches. But I googled mass gmc requirements and it pops up on Google. I scrolled down and there's pdfs explaining so you can start gathering stuff.
  12. Hi! But basically that's the documents they want. If you were on any probation you need a letter from your probation officer. Reference letter from supervisor and professor, your resume and a letter of explanation. Basically what you see on the mass.gov website but if it was an arrest for dui / drugs you have to send your driving record and any discharge records of treatment programs/ letter from sponsor if applicable. I sent in all my info and They told me I have to wait for a hearing with the board of nursing and will let me know when that is. I know they have a meeting every month and the next one is next week and haven't heard anything so I'm bummed since who knows how long I'll be waiting. It's a frustrating process. I would start gathering stuff and you can mail it now, although they won't review it until they have all the pieces. Good luck
  13. Hi, just wondering if you sent your GMC documentation when you applied? Or did you have to wait until they emailed and asked for the paperwork?
  14. Hi, just wondering if anyone has gone through a similar situation in Massachusetts. Applied to take my boards two weeks ago and says that it's in review. I emailed for an update and they just said I'm in coordinator review status and wait for processing. Anyone with a criminal history, did you send your explanation letter and court documents when you applied? Or did you wait until you received an email asking for more information? Earlier in the year I emailed the GMC people since I saw online that one policy said I should send the court documents before my application and another said after (annoying). They told me to apply and then wait for a letter in the mail? Has anyone gone through this in MA. I'm anxious every single day about this !
