Anyone else looking to get into the gloucester county college 2014 fall nursing program?

I know!! I am going to the info session today and getting all the stuff I need today to finish and as soon as my transcripts come in I will be sending it in. Cant believe its time already!!

Did they say anything about the applicant pool at the info session? or anything interesting? im getting excited/nervous!

No they didn't actually:/ But hey looks like we are the only ones applying so far! LOL!

Hahhahaha! We should have no problem getting in then!! :-D

I am so happy to see nursing students living in my area. I will retire in about five years. I went to GCC out of high school, and completed the program in two years. I believe we had three students out of class about 75 complete in the two years. But like I told my daughter 40 years ago the medical field was not as complicated as it is now. Just think what has happened in the last forty years in medicine.

Best of luck to all of you!! I predict a shortage in the next ten years. There are at least five in my department my age. LOL

Hi everyone!

Just took the HESI test today.. completely thinking I failed but got home to find i got an 89 overall! 94 in math, 94 in reading comp, 96 in grammar, 98 in vocab, 72 in chem, 80 in bio, and 870 for critical thinking! Really proud of myself except for the 72 in chemistry which was really hard and in all honesty nothing like the review book!

I'm currently a high school senior so I will have to submit my bio and chem grades from years in high school.

Even though i got a 96 in bio and a 97 in chem, do you think I will still have a good chance to get in even with my low hesi chem grade???

Hey! I am also applying for the 2014 program! I've taken the hesi 2 times already (86%, 88%) attempting a third the 21st. I did great both times but I wanted to try 3 times and take the best of the best. So we'll see. So nerve wracking, everyone has different stories and ideas about the program. Who gets in who doesn't! It's crazy. I graduated from rowan in 2011 in health and physical education and have had little luck finding a full time job longer then a year so I went for the next best thing! We'll see! Good luck to all :).

so i'm really upset because I just checked my hesi grades in the cumulative report and I actually got a 71% on the "conclusions" part of the reading comprehension... (minimum is 80%) :(

Just submitted my nursing portfolio!! Now the wait! LOL!! kkaechler don't be to bummed. You have a ways to go before you need to apply anyway. You still have to get through all your prereqs which takes at least a year. Not many people take more than the nursing classes at one time. I can't believe that its been almost a year since I thought about going back to school. Feb seemed so far away!!

and by the way your scores where impressive for a high school student that hasn't had college level bio.

I submitted mine too!! Cant wait to find out :-O !!! Kkaechler - like vettech said, dont be upset, you still have time to take it again if you want, and your science scores were good for not taking college a&p yet. But also like she said, I don't know really anyone taking all their prereqs and nursing courses together, it would be so much. You still have soo much time, no worries :)

I am submitting mine the last week! Taking the hesi again the 21st! Submitting an A for anatomyII so hopefully it'll be enough! Can't wait! Did anyone take micro yet? Any professor recommendations?
