  1. Hey everyone, I'm starting my first semester of med surg soon, what supplement book helped you the most? There are so many I can't decide what to get.
  2. Hmm I'm not sure if they're calculated into our grade or not. But the modules are for lab.
  3. So much reading! I did the modules and the test. I'll be happy to go to class so we can kind of narrow down what to focus on the most
  4. Is anyone taking other classes besides nursing this semester?
  5. If it is the appearance of the female area that bothers you, I think you can overcome this. If it makes you uncomfortable to view or be in such close contact with someone private areas, I believe this can become easier to deal with over time. I am not a nurse(yet! I will be starting nursing school in the fall :-) ) However, I've been a skin care specialist for 8 years and I have done enough Brazilian waxes and have seen enough "female areas" to last me a lifetime. Was I nervous to touch and practically have my face in someones privates when i started? You betcha! But it got easier every day. 8 years later, I'm not even phased by it. It just becomes normal. Although I never felt nauseous or faint by looking at the area, perhaps in time you will become desensitized to it. Good luck to you.
  6. Do you know what other books are in the fundamentals of nursing package that they sell in the book store?
  7. So far i've just got navy blue pants online
  8. I'm not sure, i don't think the books from that package are listed on the college website. I couldn't get the isbn to come up on any website. I tried chegg and a bunch of other places. I got the other books though.
  9. Are any of you guys going to buy any of the recommended books?
  10. Yeah i can't get that isbn to come up either. But i did get the tabers package one to come up. Where did you get that one at?
  11. So are you guys going to buy books from the school or try to find them cheaper elsewhere? I noticed some come as a set. What do you guys think?
  12. I felt the same way! I actually took the teas once without studying at all and got a 68 because I thought I would have known/remembered most of it and it was also right after i took a similar test called the hesi and got a good score. Then i used the ATI book to study and got an 87 the next time after I studied for about 3 weeks. The ati book reviews exactly what is on the test. I would definitely recommend it. Good luck :)
  13. You make good points @vettechtorn i wonder if those are the only reasons why there are so many less people this year
  14. @sdougan we have class & clinical together :)
  15. I did monday 1-535 and lab tuesday 11:15-2:15 and clinical on weds 6:45-12:45. The advisor didn't tell me how many were admitted but did tell me that they accepted all candidates who met the criteria.
